It's Time to Pull it Together with Adduction Strengthening! Email 74
Adduction just got harder. Clearly this exercise is for a child who is ready for more of a challenge. The wider the legs are abducted before the legs are adducted, the harder this activity is. I find children have trouble keeping 90 degrees hip flexion. Having my hands out as a target for the abduction seems to help. You can add weights to your client’s ankles or manual resistance to increase the difficulty as well. Document repetitions, range, and resistance/assistance provided.
