Amy Sturkey, PT challenged herself to find a way to help train pediatric physical therapists across the world. With more than 30 years experience in pediatric physical therapy, Amy had the knowledge base needed.
IT ALL STARTED IN AFRICA
On a safari to the Maasai Mara in Kenya, the soon-to-be creators of Gotcha Apps met an adorable young boy with cerebral palsy. An unexpected mid-day rainstorm encouraged a chance meeting as we all tried to escape the rain. As we talked, his family explained what lengths they had to go through and what difficulty they had finding good physical therapy for their son.
As we tried to help problem solve for them, we realized how important education tools might be for countries where physical therapy was unavailable. From our world-wide travels, we realized that even where people did not have running water, people often had access to the internet, YouTube, and books.
Guy Bryant has the computer programming, internet savvy, and video and photography editing experience needed to make this dream come true. Now we are exploring a wide range of educational platforms to produce and deliver information opportunities world-wide.
